Applications for Reading Buddies are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each of the three sessions is capped at 12 Buddy pairs (12 Little Buddies and 12 Big Buddies) due to space constraints.

We will notify you if we have space in the program approximately one week before the first session. If we don't have space, we will notify you of your place on the waiting list and encourage you to apply again for our next session. We will not know until a few days before the session starts if we have space to accommodate everyone, but if you'd like to confirm that we received your application you can contact us.

We recommend that parents of Little Buddies indicate availability for more than one session; doing so increases your child's chances of getting in.

Children currently participating in the Reading Buddies program at the Lafayette library cannot also participate at the Louisville Library.
